Saturday, January 19, 2012

I am honored to be Miss Rodeo Nebraska (MRN) 2013. Being able to represent this great state and the sport of rodeo is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I will cherish with me for the rest of my life. I have always loved rodeo and I have been around this great sport my entire life. Rodeo is not just a sport but a way of life; itís a family.

My name is Samantha Chytka (Kit-Ka) from Broken Bow, NE. I am the 23 year old daughter of Ron and Cheri Chytka. I graduated from Hastings College in Hastings, NE with a four year Bachelor in Arts degree in Human Services Administration, with a minor in Psychology. I have also been a four year competitor in the Great Plains Region. I completed my last college rodeo sixth in the goat tying regional standings.

I would like to one day further my dreams by working with horses and disadvantaged or troubled youth as an Animal Assisted Therapist. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family whether it is sitting around looking through old photographs or going to a local dance and listening to a band play. I am an outgoing, confident, and determined young lady who is looking forward to this next amazing adventure.

In June during the NEBRASKAland Days celebration and Buffalo Bill Rodeo in North Platte I was crowned Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2013. I had a great experience during the MRN Association Inc. pageant and I am looking forward to working with this wonderful association. This association gives young women the opportunity to grow and become the future leaders for young women everywhere.

As Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2013 I am excited be an ambassador for the sport of rodeo because I am a competitor inside and outside of the arena who is ready to go the extra mile to represent this state and sport. I have a terrific family that has supported me and allowed me to go after my dreams. Rodeo is a family and I truly enjoy telling everyone about my experiences and how rodeo has made me the woman that I am today. As we travel through our journey of life we need to enjoy every moment and just ride with it.
Rodeo is a Great Life...Pass it On!
