2008 Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska
Kristin Kohmetscher


Kristin Kohmetscher was crowned 2008 Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska. The MTRN
pageant was held during NEBRASKAland Days in North Platte and on Wednesday
morning of the contest, Kristin was crowned in front of her family and
friends. She won the areas of written test, photogenic, speech, and the
personality awards. Since being crowned she has spent her weekends
attending rodeos, county fairs, and various other events promoting her
passion.
Kristin is the 16 year old daughter of Duane and Laurie and a lifetime
resident on her family's farm near Lawrence. She is the oldest of
three children, and is currently a junior at Blue Hill High School. She is
active in basketball, co-captain of the volleyball team, track, softball,
captain of the dance team, band, student council, NHS, FFA, 4-H, FCA, one
act-play and a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Kristin has beautiful brown hair and dark brown eyes. Standing at 5' 4''
and with a warm smile she is an attraction for all kids. She is honest and
easy to talk to, drawing people all around to her. In her free time she
enjoys hunting, helping around the farm, mudding with her brother in the
go-karts, watching movies with her friends and playing guitar and piano.
In the future Kri stin hopes to attend college to be a veterinarian. She
would like to have a family on a ranch here in Nebraska, raised on the same
values of hard work, faith, and love that she was raised upon.
She enjoys rodeo and all aspects of the western life. Her family owns
numerous horses and Kristin enjoys training them and helping young riders
with their horses and riding skills. Kristin is very honored to have the
opportunity to represent the sport she loves while on horseback in her
hometown state!
